Midge Madness

First fish of the day--not that big, but the winter fish have big shoulders!

The fishing has been AMAZING the last couple of weeks.  We have had warm temps, lots of sun, and even more midges.  I've just been fishing on the Wood, but there hasn't really been a reason to leave town when the fishing is this good.  The fabulous thing about winter fishing is you can sleep in or take a few runs before you hit the water.  Paddy and I fished together (pretty rare these days) last week and here are a few photos.  There may be a little video to accompany it soon.

It's super nasty outside now.  We have both a Winter Storm Warning AND a Flood Warning.  Snow melt, snow, rain, slush, we have it all.  I guess that means it's time for steelhead...
